Happy New Year! And my year in review by the numbers!

Happy New Year! And my year in review by the numbers!

Wow, 2020! Looking back at 2019, I’m amazed that I got any quilting or sewing done at all! It was my year of travel and adventures. My excursions took me to wintery Nisswa MN, sunny Anna Marie Island FL, amazing Santa Fe NM, incredible Zdar Nad Sazavou Czech Republic and historic Mackinac Island Michigan! And if you add in working at quilt shows, family fun vacations and shopping trips, I left my home state 11 times last year! I will do my very best to keep it up this year!!

On the quilting front, I was happily surprised that 44 customer quilts, 19 charity quilts and 7 personal quilts were under Winifred’s needle in 2019! Here’s some of the quilts I gifted in 2019.

I should have kept a count of how many Hot Pad Table Runners that I made with my sisters! Lots! And the last group included some trivet sizes and sports theme, great for gifts!

And I’m still making zipper pouches for anyone who inkles that they want one! Each one is it’s own style, you never know what side the zipper pull will end up!

Speaking of numbers, here’s to celebrating 94 year, 64 year and 4 year old birthdays! In 2020 we’ll hit landmark birthdays together!

I might as well keep going with a personal accomplishment of losing 16 pounds and going to 211 Jazzercise classes in 2019!!

Happy New year and thank you to my clients who trusted me with their projects in 2019, I look forward to 2020!

If you care to comment, please go to my Facebook page or Instagram feed, I love to hear from you. And I have all kinds of things on my Pinterest page!

Let’s have a great year and keep stitching!

PSQ2 – Signed, Sealed and Delivered!!

PSQ2 – Signed, Sealed and Delivered!!

Wrapped and readyYesterday, my hubby’s cousin received a belated birthday/Christmas present from me via UPS!  My second Postage Stamp Quilt – Dancing Nines, 1,728 Charms!  Jeannine was on my Bucket List of quilts to make and I was excited to give it to her.  And coincidentally,  she’s having surgery this week so it’s also a long distance hug from us.Dancing Nines - PSQ2I love scrap quilts and Quiltville is a great source for them!  This quilt is based on Bonnie Hunter’s free pattern called Dancing Nines.  I chose to use my collection of postage stamp 2″ charms from The Curious Quilter swaps and I didn’t add the borders.  Dancing Nines quilting detailI loved quilting this with freehand orange peel in the nine patches and big pebbles in the sashing.

I’m ready to start my third PSQ if I can decide on the next pattern!

As 2014 comes to an end,  I’m thankful to those who have partnered with me to finish their projects and looking forward the many I have waiting for me to start in 2015!

Happy New Year!

Thank you to everyone who partnered with me in 2012 to get their quilts finished.  I am humbled and honored that you trusted me with your heirlooms.

Somewhere in July, I crossed over the 500 mark for number of quilts quilted!  During the year, I quilted 87 customer quilts and 10 personal quilts.  I hope 2012 is just as amazing.

In November, I swapped my 2004 APQS Millennium for a 2012 APQS Freedom.  I love it!!!!

Looking back, I did manage to finish some of my Loose Ends and no matter how hard I tried not to, I started several new quilts that are now in various stages of unfinished!  How long does a project have to be “set aside” before it becomes a UFO?  Actually, I love having multiple projects to work on, no time to get bored!  And if I add how many projects are swimming in my head, I’ll never get bored!

Thanks to all my blog followers and readers!  I love getting comments and will try to answer every one.  Tomorrow I’ll announce my first blog giveaway of the year, stay tuned!

Happy 2013!!  🙂 Linda

Year in review..

Year in review..

As we say good bye to 2011 and hello to 2012, it’s time to reflect back on the year past.

First, thank you to everyone who partnered with me to finish their quilts, 2011 was my best year ever for LAQ!  I crossed the 400 quilts grand total mid year!  My total for 2011 was 127 and 12 of those quilted were my personal quilts!

Look for my personal UFO Challenge next year, I’ll be posting pictures of my quilts in progress and shaming myself into finishing them!

This will be my 126th post!   You can follow me on Facebook or Pinterest, too!  I’ve been finding some awesome quilting ideas on Pinterest, so check out my pins!

Lots of batiks!

My personal favorite quilt of the year is the wedding quilt for my son, Drew and his wife Abby!  You can read about that post here.  Drew is also my tech support and own personal web guru!  I really appreciate what he does for me, even though he lives in Florida!

It’d be hard to pick my favorite customer quilt from the 100+ that I did this year!  It seems like my favorite is the one I just finished.  Here’s a couple links for you to check out from this year.   Celia’s Mystery Quilt

A benefit of blogging is the pictures!  I now have a very good record of quilts for current and future customers to look at!  My goal in 2012 is to post a picture of every quilt.  I think I missed a few in 2011.

Thanks again for a great year and many blessings to you and yours in 2012!!

Happy Stitching!

Linda
