My friend, Candace, of The Double Nickel Quilt Challenge has made several of these personalized “I Spy” quilts for her grandchildren and others in her family. Sometimes, if the quilts are going to the same household she’ll use the same “I Spy” squares but arranged differently so they can play their own matching game. Isn’t that a great idea! Check her blog for more ideas using 5 inch squares.
The quilting is a fun freehand design, I call Mod Flowers and Loops. The name block has small loops as a background fill to flatten the area around the letters. The batting is Quilter’s Dream Poly select and the thread is Superior So Fine #50.
Thanks for looking!
Stay tuned for the first giveaway on my blog! I’m very thankful for a great year and to show my thanks I’ll be hosting a Thanksgiving giveaway! Details will be posted next week!
