After cutting, ironing, machine sewing and hand sewing, I finished it! It’s labor intensive but worth it!

Janann’s Glacier Star palette is totally different from Mary’s and I love the desert look.
The batting is a layer of Quilters Dream Blend and Dream Poly, which fills out the quilting designs nicely.
Now that I’ve figured out how to post from my phone, yay!, expect more mini posts from me!
Thanks! Linda
Here’s a sneak peak at another Glacier Star quilt! Of course, it’s the back.
I’m also testing using my phone to make this blog post!
Thanks for letting me run this test!
Linda
Pictures are a best way to describe this quilt! Glacier Star is a Judy Niemeyer quilt that is an insane sewing project that only crazy people tackle! And this week I’ll be quilting another!
Mary added the extra borders to her Glacier Star, doubly insane! Lots and lots of tiny pieces!
You could make this smaller version of the Glacier Star instead of adding the additional sections, like Mary did.
The back looks pretty awesome, too! I was honored that Mary trusted me with her big project. More pictures are available here.
Thanks for looking and stay tuned for the next Glacier Star!

This is for my friends who haven’t seen my longarm set up! A picture, in this case, a video, explains it much better than I can!
Click here to view my longarm demo YouTube Video! The quilt is 99″ wide, I’m using Superior Threads So Fine #50 and the batting is Quilters Dream Poly Select. My machine is a 2012 APQS Freedom with a Bliss Drive on at 12 foot table! My posture is not great when I’m stitching so you can see why we longarmers complain about back pain!
The stitching looks like this.
The thread is a blue grey and I love the look on the bright colors.
Thanks!
Linda 🙂
