New Pantograph

New Pantograph

My new Freedom came with 2 pantographs and this baby quilt by Joanie was perfect to try Jessie’s Swirls Simplified.

I love the swirly design with the square element of the quilt.

This pantograph will definitely be used again!

Combine Freedom with Bliss and you have very round circles!  As a freestyle, no computer quilter, I love that!!!

Thanks for looking!

Rainbows Arcadia Pure Velvet

Rainbows Arcadia Pure Velvet

This beautiful quilt is for Rainbows and Calico Things quilt shop. When Barbara and I were planning the quilting, we decided on an overall design and Superior Highlights thread.  I decided on a pantograph because I knew I would not be able to see my stitching from the front of the machine!

The pantograph is Oma’s Garden by Sophie Collier.  Here’s the view from the back.

This is a great pantograph with lots of details and a freehand look.

Thanks for looking and just keep stitchin’ !

Bryan and Ginny Quilt

Bryan and Ginny Quilt

Bryan is one of my “guy” quilters! We’re using a neutral thread, Superior OMNI Buff, Quilter’s Dream Puff batting and a pantograph called “Lime Tree

For a new quilter, Bryan is already a good sewer and takes the time to piece the back, too!

I was very excited when I saw Ginny’s quilt!  I knew exactly what E2E freehand design I wanted to do and I was hoping she would agree to hot pink thread.  I had just finished two large quilts where the thread got lost in the quilting.  As I was quilting those, I was thinking that the next quilt is going to have hot pink thread so I could see it!  And here comes Ginny with the perfect quilt!

The thread is Superior OMNI Petunia , the batting is Quilter’s Dream Puff and the E2E design is my Cockscomb meander.  I will have to say the I lost the pink thread in some of the red fabrics, and I love the pink on the blue fabric.

Our college aged daughter will be home for a long Easter weekend, so I’m sure I’ll be doing laundry instead of blogging!  Hope you have a great weekend, too!

Thanks for looking and just keep stitchin’ !

Christmas Table Topper

Christmas Table Topper

Here’s another Christmas quilt by Marty.  This will be a table topper for Christmas.  I love quilts for tables, so pretty!  Just for fun I’ll put random quilts on our dining room table.  For Marty’s quilt we used Quilter’s Dream 100% cotton select batting, it has excellent drape.  I decided to use a very tight and curly pantograph called Oodles of Doodles and I changed from my original plan of red thread to a rayon gold thread by R&A.  It was a small spool from my embroidery stash and I was sweating bullets that it would run out!  But thankfully, it didn’t!  I’ll have to ask Marty to send me a pic of her house all decorated with her Christmas quilts!

Lime Tree Pantograph

Lime Tree Pantograph

Kristin’s quilt is an awesome mix of modern fabrics and when you combine the curves of the Lime Tree pantograph and Quilter’s Dream Wool batting the result is fabulous!  The pictures really speak for themselves, thanks, Kristin for letting me post them!
