I love it when there’s another baby born in my family so I can make a quilt to give away!!!! Because we didn’t know the sex, I made a quilt using lots of fun bright colors suitable for either boy or girl. I used some of the same fabrics in his big sister Selah’s quilt! I hope they like it! The quilt is made with the large Twister Tool, the batting is Quilter’s Dream Puff and the thread is Superior Threads OMNI. Unlike Selah’s, I used flannel for the backing and I machine stitched the binding to the front of the quilt. If you haven’t made a Twisting Pinwheel quilt using the Twister Tool from Country Schoolhouse try it! It’s very fun and fast!

Dizzy Pantograph
Joanie has made a quilt that perfectly displays the Dizzy Pantograph and Superior Threads King Tut variegated thread.
Yellow, Pink and Purple Butterflies
Candy spoils her granddaughters! She has made 3 quilts using the Buggy Barn “Butterflies” pattern each with it’s own color palette. The last one was yellow and even though I tried to quilt them all the same, each one is slightly different than the previous. Because I’ve only recently started to take quilting pictures I had to get finished pictures from Candy to help me remember how to quilt them. I keep a diary with quilting notes about thread, batting and design but a picture is better!
Double Nickel Quilt Challenge
Here’s a couple quilts from Candy’s Double Nickel Quilt Challenge. Check out her blog for more information. “Nickel I Spy #2” is a great kids quilt! The Bubbles pantograph and King Tut variegated thread are the perfect compliments to a fun quilt like this.
The Ziggaty Zag quilt is awesome! For this wallhanging some simple feathers in the border and stitching to mimic the center are the best quilting choices.
