Thanks! Linda:)
One of my favorite things is giving quilts! My goal in life is to make a quilt for everyone in my family. I have a big family and it keeps growing with marriages and babies! I couldn’t be happier, more quilts to make and give away! Even though Chris is not “technically” a family member, he is definitely family and has won our hearts, including our daughter’s. This is one of my all time favorite quilts to make and give away. It’s a cozy quilt that’s easy care, machine wash and dry. Yes, I have another Stacked Squares quilt started! I’ll keep making them until the fabric runs out!
Thanks for looking! If you’re traveling today – be safe! 🙂 Linda
Here’s my Block 6 for the BlockBase Sew Along. A big thanks to Candace, my quilting buddy, for the paper piecing templates! Like blocks 1, 2 and 3, this block finishes 8 inches. I followed the color way featured in BlockBase, combining vintage and new fabrics.
Check out how others Completed Block 6 here.
Six blocks done! Six to go! I love the look of them and it will be fun to incorporate them into a quilt.
I can’t believe we’re almost to the end of 2012! Stay tuned for customer quilts and Christmas gifts posts!
Thanks for looking!! 🙂 Linda
Here’s my 5th block for the BlockBase Sew Along. Like Block 4, it finishes at 9 inches. The units are 3 1/2″ squares with 2″ squares in the corners (sew and flip method). The fabrics are from the vintage stash recovered from my sister’s house! I love it! This would be a great block to design a quilt around.
Here’s the link to check out how others completed their block.
My boss at Rainbows and Calico Things quilt shop, hosted the most fabulous Christmas party! She drove us around Iowa for our own shop hop! And yes, I did increase my stash a little. I was most excited about the stores that had scrap bags for sale! I love getting those bags of remnants, I might need some medication for that sickness!
Thanks for looking. I’m behind on posting customer quilts and when I get a break from Christmas quilts, I’ll catch up!
🙂 Linda
It’s always fun to quilt other people’s Christmas quilts!
Marty used up her Christmas scraps and made 2 awesome Christmas quilts!
Christmas Pinwheels

Here’s a couple of table runners by Marilyn. It pays to plan ahead and make your backing big enough to load both table runners on the same piece.
It’s hard to see the quilting from the front but it shows really well on the back!
Thanks for looking and have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
🙂 Linda
