I’m done! A big thank you to Curious Quilter for organizing multiple international swaps that resulted in my first Postage Stamp quilt using 3584 different 2″ charms. I love it!
As I made the blocks, I used a light/dark pairing which resulted in a wave of color variations. I love the effect. I’ll have to challenge my 10 year old granddaughter to find a duplicate among the 3,584 charms. I don’t think there is one, but you never know!
The quilting is a simple freehand continuous curve, or orange peel. The finished block is 1 1/2″ so it was easy to do freehand without a ruler.
The batting is Quilter’s Dream 100% cotton batting and eventually I’ll wash and dry the quilt to make it even more wrinkly!
Now, the challenge is to decide on the design for PSQ #2! I’m having fun “pinning” ideas. Check them out here!
I’m linking up with A Stitch in Time July 2013 Finishes. Check out other finishes here. Thanks! 🙂 Linda
