And the winners are….

And the winners are….

It’s time to draw the winners of my  Blog Hop Giveaway!

A big thank you to everyone who entered my giveaway and “hi” to my new followers!   I was sure the purse/tote pack was leading but in the end the quilt pack had 3 more comments.

My selecting system was very low tech, (writing all the names on a slip of paper), I had fun re-reading the comments and visiting the comment makers blogs!

And I discovered a new site stat that shows what country my blog visitors are in.   Last week, my blog was visited by readers from 30 different countries!  Isn’t that amazing!

My spring break visiting daughter drew the winners and…..(drum roll….)

The winner of the purse pack is:

Kathy A –   “#1 purse pack would be GREAT! I hope I win! thanks”

The winner of the quilt pack is:

Mary –  “I’d love to win the quilt patterns! Thanks for the chance.”

Check your emails!

Hope you had a great weekend, I had a fun and crazy time with family!  So tomorrow I’ll be back to stitchin’ !

Thanks!

Linda

Oops!! And a Thank-you!

Oops!! And a Thank-you!

A big thank you to Kristen at Ten Quilts for informing me that my comment for her giveaway showed as a “no-reply” blogger!  Oops!!!  I don’t know how it happened but my email had been “removed” from my Blogger profile.  Thanks to Kristen, I have fixed it but my earlier Blog Hop comments are probably still labeled as “no reply”.  Oh well, it happens!

Another thank you to everyone who has entered my Blog Hop giveaway!  There is still time to enter!   My daughter is visiting from college and she will draw the winners on Sunday!  I will notify the winners by email ASAP!

Hope you have a great weekend planned, I will be celebrating with visiting family!  I might get some sewing or LAQ mixed in there, too.  Thanks for looking and just keep stitchin’ !  Linda

Design Wall Monday

Design Wall Monday

My design wall is sparse but it’s the beginning of a Trash To Treasure quilt!  I’m using the Pineapple Tool by Gyleen X. Fitzgerald and I have the book, too.  I’m making the scrappiest version that starts with a red center and every strip is different.  I like it!  My next blocks will be faster now that I’ve got the “system” figured out and organized by strips!  I need about 3 pounds of strips so I’ll be cutting more!

It’s a good thing that Quilting Gallery’s blog hop is going on all week, I still have several letters of the alphabet to complete!  Thanks to all those who have visited my blog and entered my giveaway!  It’s fun isn’t it?!   Some of the commentators have blogs and it’s fun to check them out, too.

Keep hopping and stitchin’ !

Linda

Looped Spirals and Homespun

Looped Spirals and Homespun

I love homespun quilts, especially after they are washed and dried, they get all wrinkly and cuddly.

For this quilt we decided on a freehand E2E that I call Looped Spirals.  I slightly overlapped the spirals to add interest and mimic the way a plaid overlaps.

The spirals add great texture which will increase and soften with washing.  The batting is Quilter’s Dream 100% cotton select, perfect for homespun quilts!  Just the right about of shrinkage and thickness.

And I have to show you the fun pieced back!

Thanks for looking and just keep stitchin’
