Once in a great while, I invite the quilt maker into my studio to quilt their quilt! Meet Jack, the quilt maker of this awesome scrappy batik quilt.
We had a great time quilting looped spirals together!
Pretty awesome first quilt! I’m excited to see what he does next! He’s lucky to have a grandma to encourage and teach him.
The thread is Superior Rainbows and the batting is Quilter’s Dream Puff.

Here’s a few pics of a block of the month quilt, Women of Courage, pieced by my client Sheila and quilted by me. The batting is Quilter’s Dream Puff which really shows off the quilting detail. This was a fun quilt to add custom quilting to!

I was so excited to deliver Alex’s Tummy Time quilt today! My second Tummy Time of this year. Next week I’ll be starting another! Always more babies!

Here’s my first Tummy Time quilt of 2014! This is for Elijah, my cousin’s first grandson born March 19! I had fun using a coordinated set of fat quarters to make this sweet baby boy quilt. The quilting design is freehand Monkey Tails, the batting is Quilter’s Dream Puff and the thread is Superior So Fine!#50.
I finished this week, attached the label and mailed it! When I need it fast, I use a fine fabric marker for the label. I’m out of practice using my embroidery machine!
My niece makes the cutest little blankies out of furry fabric. It’s a Softee for the baby’s cheek!

Look familiar? When you have the fabric, keep making quilts! I thought she was doing random piecing but Ashton used a pattern called “Fiddlesticks“. This is another example of a quilt that I want to make!
Like her previous quilt, we used Quilter’s Dream Puff batting and simple undulating lines for the quilting.
The backing is flannel, nice. This is going to be a soft, cuddly quilt for her mom!
I can’t believe we’re one week into the new year! Do you have a long list of quilting resolutions? My list is always the same – Finish, Finish, Finish! So, I started the year quilting one of my own quilts, yay! It’s a secret until I give it away, stay tuned.
