Baby Elijah’s Tummy Time Quilt revealed!

Baby Elijah’s Tummy Time Quilt revealed!

Elijah's Tummy TimeHere’s my first Tummy Time quilt of 2014!  This is for Elijah, my cousin’s first grandson born March 19!  I had fun using a coordinated set of fat quarters to make this sweet baby boy quilt.   The quilting design is freehand Monkey Tails, the batting is Quilter’s Dream Puff and the thread is Superior So Fine!#50.

marker labelI finished this week, attached the label and mailed it!  When I need it fast, I use a fine fabric marker for the label.  I’m out of practice using my embroidery machine!

My niece makes the cutest little blankies out of furry fabric.  It’s a Softee for the baby’s cheek!

I’m linking with A Stitch in Time for an April finish!  Check out other projects, too.  Thanks for looking!  🙂 Linda

Coffee Bean Meander

Coffee Bean Meander

Coffee Bean MeanderSometimes a quilt needs it’s own meander!  That’s what happened when I quilted this for Barbara.  Does it look like coffee beans to you?  I thought so!

Cup-O-Joe quiltBarbara used a few fat quarters and the Turning Twenty block pattern to make this quick gift for a friend.  How fun is that?!

Thanks!  Linda 🙂

Kinsey’s I-Spy

Kinsey’s I-Spy

Kinsey's I-SpyHere’s another fun I-Spy quilt by Candace of Double Nickel Quilts and Moore About Nancy – Nancy Cabot SewAlong.  What’s cool about this quilt is it has the same I-Spy squares as one of Kinsey’s siblings so they can play an I-Spy or a matching game together.

Name detailLittle loops and outlining define the name.

mod flowers and loopsThe quilting design is a freehand mod flowers and loops.

What’s your favorite I-Spy pattern?  The only I-Spy I’ve made was for my granddaughter for Christmas in 2005!  I can’t believe it was that long ago and that I could find a picture to share!

I love the contrast of white, pink and black fabrics.  It’s always a great combination!  The pattern is called “Stars for Audrey” if you want to add it to your quilts to make list!

The next thing I was excited about was that Lyn let me use bright pink thread for the quilting!

Pink thread!

Pink thread on back too!

The back is white, showcasing the pink thread again!  I love it!

Thanks!  Linda:)

Baby Reagan’s quilt

Baby Reagan’s quilt

Reagan's baby quilt by Grandma Lisa

Congrats to Grandma Lisa!  Here’s the baby quilt she made for her granddaughter, Reagan, born August 8!

The fabric is soft flannel, perfect for a baby to cuddle and have tummy time.

Magnifico Thread

What I really liked about this quilt was that Lisa let me use Superior Threads Magnifico, Tangerine Flash!  The thread is a great fluorescent orange, which does not photograph well, but trust me, it’s bright!

The quilting design is my favorite fun, freehand edge to edge, Swirl and Curl.  It always looks great!

Thanks!  Linda 🙂
